Mowrd Terms of Use
Welcome to Mowrd. These terms govern your use of the Mowrd app, the mowrd.app website and related services (together, the "Platform"). Please read them carefully: creating an account or using the Platform means you accept them and the Privacy Policy.
1. Definitions
- "Management": the owner and operator of the Platform and the supervisors it authorises.
- "Supplier": a factory or warehouse that publishes wholesale products such as clothing, shoes and cosmetics.
- "Outfitter": an account that publishes workshop supplies such as fabrics, threads, accessories, machines and packaging.
- "Merchant": a shop or business that browses and orders products wholesale.
- "Seller": the supplier or outfitter in a given order; "Buyer": the account that placed it.
- "Content": anything published or sent through the Platform, including data, images, videos and messages.
2. What the Platform is
- Mowrd is a closed wholesale platform: products and prices are visible only to accounts approved by Management.
- The Platform is a technical intermediary that displays sellers' products and carries orders and messages between the parties. It is not a seller, buyer or agent of either, does not own the goods shown, and does not guarantee their quality, conformity, availability or delivery.
- The app contains no payment, wallet or balance. The parties agree directly, outside the app, on payment, delivery and returns.
3. Accounts and registration
- The Platform is for businesses. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to trade.
- You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information and upload the requested verification documents (such as a photo of the shop front, the factory or the trade register).
- Management reviews every registration and may approve it, reject it or request changes, and will tell you the reason in the app.
- The account belongs to your business and may not be sold, rented or shared. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done through your account.
- An account is linked to a limited number of devices. Signing in from an additional device may be refused until you sign out of another device or contact Management.
- Badges granted by Management (such as "Verified supplier") reflect its assessment of what was provided and are not a guarantee of any dealing.
4. Management actions on accounts
If these terms are breached, or fraud, misuse or copying of content is suspected, Management may suspend the account, ban it or restrict its browsing, and will tell you why. When an account is banned, its products, offers and profile are hidden from users, while its historical records, such as past orders, remain available to Management.
5. Publishing products (suppliers and outfitters)
- You publish within the quota Management grants you: number of posts, duration, allowed categories and media storage. Any fee for a subscription is agreed with Management directly, outside the app; the Platform only applies the quota.
- Every product is reviewed before merchants can see it. A substantial edit to a published product (images, video, price, category or sale unit) sends it back for review while the approved version stays visible until the edit is accepted. Management may reject a product or an edit and will state the reason.
- You confirm that product data, images and video are accurate and belong to that product, that you own the rights to this content or are permitted to use it, and that the product is lawful and does not infringe anyone's trademark, design or other rights.
- You are responsible for prices, quantities and availability and for keeping them up to date.
- When your quota period ends, your products are archived and later deleted permanently after the set retention period, with prior notice.
- Discount posts are reviewed and count against your quota; the offer price applies to orders during its period and within its set quantity.
6. Orders
- The cart is separate for each seller, and the seller receives the order with the shipping details entered by the buyer.
- Sending an order does not complete a sale until the seller accepts it. The order goes through stages visible to both parties, and either party may cancel or reject it at the stages the app allows, stating a reason.
- Each order keeps a copy of the product data and price at the time of ordering as a reference for both parties.
- The parties agree directly on payment, shipping, delivery and returns. Shipping companies listed in the app are there to make choosing easier; the Platform is not responsible for their services.
- Either party may mark an order as "has a problem". Management may review it and contact both parties to help, without being obliged to settle the dispute or pay any compensation.
- Fake, non-serious or malicious orders are prohibited.
7. Chats and contact
- Chats are for business related to products and orders and include text, voice messages, product and order cards, and images if Management enables them.
- Abuse, threats, fraud, spam and any unlawful or indecent content are prohibited.
- Management may view any chat and write in it; its messages appear to both parties under the name "Management". This is for support, handling reports and protecting the Platform.
- The WhatsApp button takes you to an external app; what happens there is outside the Platform and its responsibility. Taps on the button are recorded in the Platform's statistics.
8. Content protection
- Product images and videos belong to their owners. Photographing, recording, copying, downloading or republishing them outside the Platform, or using them to imitate designs, is prohibited.
- The app blocks screenshots and screen recording, and images and videos carry a watermark with the viewer's account number and viewing time. Capture attempts are recorded and may be reported to Management.
- Automated or abnormally heavy browsing is restricted automatically or by Management.
- Sharing a product from the app is limited to its name, the supplier's name, a short description and a link that opens in the app, without images or video.
9. Ratings, reports and blocking
- Ratings must be honest and based on a real dealing; Management may hide ratings that are not.
- You can report an account, product, order or message; Management handles the report and tells you the outcome.
- You may block any account, which then cannot see your products or profile, message you or order from you. Management can see blocks and may lift them.
10. Advertising
Advertising and banner requests are sent to Management; details and fees are agreed outside the app, and Management may accept or decline them.
11. Intellectual property
- The Platform, its name, logo, design and software belong to Management; copying, imitating or attempting to access its code is prohibited.
- You keep ownership of your content and grant the Platform a non-exclusive permission to display and process it (such as compressing it and adding the watermark) within the Platform while it is published.
12. Limitation of liability
- The Platform is provided as is and may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or technical reasons.
- To the extent permitted by law, Management is not responsible for deals between users, the quality of goods, payment or shipping, or any indirect loss arising from using the Platform.
- Each user is responsible for their content and dealings and will compensate the Platform for any claim arising from their breach of these terms.
13. Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account in the app (Account → Delete account). The account is then disabled immediately, sign-in is locked and your products and content are hidden from users; this cannot be undone from the app. After a retention period set by Management, your personal data is deleted or anonymised, while the records of past orders that are needed are kept.
14. Changes to these terms
Management may update these terms. Each new version appears in the app with its number, and you will be asked to accept it before continuing to use the Platform.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws in force in the Syrian Arab Republic. Any dispute will first be settled amicably where possible; otherwise the competent courts in Syria have jurisdiction.
16. Contact
For any question or comment about these terms: the support chat in the app, or the contact details published in the app and on mowrd.app.
